The ALS provider course is designed for healthcare professionals who would be expected to apply the skills taught as part of their clinical duties, or to teach them on a regular basis. Appropriate participants include doctors, and nurses working in critical care areas (e.g. ED, CCU, ICU, HDU, operating theatres, acute medical admissions units) or in the resuscitation / medical emergency team, and paramedics. This clip contains some sample e-learning material from the new e-ALS course which will be rolled out at registered course centres in the UK from the end of 2011. The blended learning comprises of 7 hours of e-learning for candidates to study at their own pace ahead of their 1-day face to face practical training.
